The design of the Gira E3 design line harmoniously combines clean, smooth shapes with technical precision. The two-part structure, comprising a support frame and cover frame, creates a fantastic look and allows for creative combinations of colours and surfaces.
A beautiful combination
A wide variety of designs can be created by combining support frames and inserts in anthracite or pure white glossy with the various cover frames. The colour palette ranges from clean pure white to neutral grey tones, to warm beige and brown tones, to pastel blue grey and grey green. The support frame matches the colour of the inserts: anthracite or pure white glossy. The coloured cover frames have a satin-finish soft touch surface – a design that appeals to all of the senses.
More than 300 functions for a modern electrical installation
More than 300 intelligent functions from the Gira System 55 can be integrated in the Gira E3 design line’s frames to enable customised convenience, value and security. For example, in addition to socket outlets and light switches, the frames can also hold the Gira home station, the Gira flush-mounted radio, Gira touch sensors and much more besides. All of the inserts are available in different colour variants. Gira E3 enables all the requirements of a modern home to be fulfilled and a multitude of building installation functions to be implemented in a uniform design language.
Gira eNet wireless wall transmitter
Gira eNet is the bi-directional wireless system for the intelligent networking of building technology, allowing you to control lighting, blinds and ambience easily and wirelessly. The battery-operated Gira radio wall transmitters can be conveniently placed exactly where switches or buttons are required, regardless of the mains connections. They can be either securely mounted on the wall or conveniently attached to smooth surfaces with adhesive strips. Bi-colour LEDs indicate both the signal transmission status and the actuator status.
Gira surface-mounted home station video Plus
A striking feature of the Gira surface-mounted home station video is its homogeneous front panel, which harmonises perfectly with the clean surfaces and contours of the Gira E3 design line. Its 5.6 cm (2.2") large TFT-colour display is flush with the touch-sensitive buttons of the control panel. Gently touching the respective symbol is enough. In order to ensure greater operational reliability, internal calls and switching actions can be assigned individual names. The hands-free function offers high-voice quality, even if the speaker is not in the immediate vicinity of the microphone.
Gira Sensotec LED
Finding your way safely in the dark and switching on the room light if needed with a single contactless motion: the Gira Sensotec LED unites these functions in one device. The Gira Sensotec LED is a contactless switch with integrated LED orientation light. When motion is detected, it switches the orientation light on. If more light is needed, the user can switch on the lighting with a single contactless motion in 5 cm proximity. The illumination intensity can be adjusted in automatic mode to prevent glare.
Gira RDS flush-mounted radio
The Gira RDS flush-mounted radio simply sits in the wall – just like the light switches and socket outlets. This avoids annoying cables and keeps work surfaces and counters free. The loudspeaker has been completely redesigned to give the RDS flush-mounted radio a pure sound – and in excellent stereo quality too when the Gira additional loudspeaker, which is available as an option, is connected. Installing a Gira docking station allows you to connect external music sources to the Gira RDS flush-mounted radio or a stereo system via Bluetooth, and also provides a fixed charging unit for a wide variety of mobile devices.
Gira touch sensor 3 Plus
The Gira touch sensor 3 Plus guarantees a great degree of convenience in operating numerous KNX functions. In addition to an integrated temperature sensor to measure the local temperature, it also features a controller for direct room temperature control. An external temperature sensor can also be connected if desired. Moreover, the touch sensor 3 Plus is equipped with a graphic display. It is used to clearly display temperature values, the controller status and messages received via the KNX system.
Gira SCHUKO socket outlet with LED orientation light
The Gira SCHUKO socket outlet with LED orientation light has a recessed light strip that projects a light corridor downwards by means of a white LED. This provides glare-free, indirect orientation light. Furthermore, the socket outlet features a twilight sensor that automatically turns on the light when darkness sets in and switches it off again when there is enough natural light.
A simple, fast and clean exchange.
In general, switches and socket outlets etc. can be exchanged very easily. If you have already installed frames from a Gira System 55 design line this is particularly simple – because all frames from the Gira Standard 55, E2, E3, Event, Esprit, and ClassiX ranges are interchangeable. Simply exchange the frames – the existing inserts can continue to be used. This is a simple way to give the room new highlights in terms of colour and material appearance.
Gira E3 in your own surroundings
The Gira Design Configurator quickly and easily provides a realistic idea of how the Gira E3 design line works in a real environment and matches your individual interior design style. The Gira Design Configurator's fascinating 'live view' mode uses a smartphone or tablet camera. The many Gira E3 design options – and, of course, those of the other Gira design lines – can be combined with selected functions from the Gira range in the Gira Design Configurator. The Gira Design Configurator can be called up online or is available as a free app for iOS and Android mobile devices.
